Fever Show
Right, I've talked about this before to people but in light of my recent flash of inspiration (see "Household show routine" topic) I think its time to kick everything into action.
I really would like to put on a Fever show. I'm not talking a 5 or 10min show, I'm on about a full length show.
Anyone thats been to a Juggling convention will know what I mean.
Below is stuff I'm just thinking about now, its only an idea so feel free to jump in and comment.
- Can it be done!?
I think so... we have the skills, knowledge and contacts so I think we could do everything ourselves.
We have many people with close ties to the union, crew members to sort out Lighting and Sound etc...
- The Show Iteslf
Made up of lots of short acts/routines. Trying to get as many skills in there as possible.
As for the acts then we ought to think out of the box. Again anyone thats been to a Juggling convention will know the sort of stuff I'm thinking of. People won't want to see more than a few "standard" poi/staff/juggling routines.
If people are wondering what sort of stuff I mean then I have loads of videos and also a copy of the BJC2004 DVD which contains much of the show from that.

The acts only need to be 5-10min long.. maybe shorter. Probably with a compare inbetween. (anyone any ideas for said compare - Si King would have been an excellent choice, but he;s no longer at uni)
... anyway. This is just a pipe dream atm, hopefully we can make it a reality thou :)
Also Leicester are looking at organising a Juggling convention some time next year so we could do some acts for their show - I'm sure they would love to have us.

I've always loved the idea of a Fever show. At the beginning of the year there were talks of getting groups of people together to work on some routines, so maybe 2006 is the time to get those sorted :)
I'm all up for choreography. A couple of us (old gits) have done a few choreographed little ditties, but nothing as big as what we want! A good piece of choreography that incorporates all the skills of Fever would be fantastic, so we can really show what we are about!
If people have ideas, shout about them! We'll need themes, choreography, costumes, the lot!
Lets make this a big one!

The thought of doing
The thought of doing something like this had crossed my mind too. Juggling, diabolo, unicycling etc are all much more suited to this kind of show, than the regenerate type performance, which is better for poi and staff. More people could be involved in a show of this type. I think a lot of us would be interested in having a go anyway.
(I know Philo is desperate to perform a stealing routine on stage).

Between me,lilly,jon and ric I'm sure we can come up with a wicked passing routing including some stealing too.
