Socials ideas for 2007
heya everyone. just been having a brainstorm of possible socials for this term (its a great revision distraction).
Socials that are happening so far are gonna be:
My bday party 6th Feb
Possibly a Playboy Social on 21st Feb, warm up at hey ewe type thing with The Trampolining club
Graces bday outing 6th March
Other ideas for future include a jungle social, flower social, a glow night to Gatecrasher, Doctors and Nurses/emergency services, cowboys and indians perhaps?
Put some more ideas on here, would love to hear about them all! :o)

How about some socials that dont involve getting dressed up and going to the Union? Just a thought :P
Sorry Elwyn, but I have been the voice of non-alcoholic socials on this committee for too long to stop now! hehe
What about some bowling or ice skating or something along those lines...

i did consider non dressing up ideas. I thought a Pants Party wud be funny. no dressing up, just where ur pants on the outside, hehe. bowling wud be a good idea too, will probs look into that :o)

seriously, im just about as bad on ice skates as i am on stilts. it scares me lol its always entertaining for everyone else to watch tho hehe i'll take one for the team! :oP ice stilt skating shud be a new sport lol

Wow. Lilly you really are all up for the idea of ice skating:) Dont worry when im back we can go ice skating. Legs a flailing, Lilndy's a falling.
Obv it dont particullarly help me this year but will still put in some ideas. Bowling, Ice Skating, GoAPE, Paintball, Laser Quest etc.. Basically some ideas for other times instead of just the evenings. Im so annoyed I missed the immense amounts of socials this year.
Also I remember that the Rileys social went down a treat. We had over 30 people at least and took over 7 tables. If you get enough people going and they take enough behined the bar they will give you the tables for free (Youre saving a lot for that). The manager is pretty decent so will be able to work on cost of stuff for less if there's good incentive.

Rileys social last year
Rileys social last year absolutely rocked, and loads of people went, even Ric! :) I'm a terrible ice skater but I'd go if forced, and I haven't been for 2 years, and that was outdoors in Hungary, in which it took me about 10 minutes to complete a lap. Is there an ice skating place in loughborough?
Anyway Cowboys and Indians would be groovy. Poiers as cowboys and jugglers as indians passing tomahawks. Mario would be ace, but probably quite difficult to make say a yoshi costume.
Can't wait to get the alcohol consumption going again after exams

Or maybe like a mortal kombat social [loads of characters to choose from] - optional fights to the death.
I still want a lego man social! you have to bring and dress as the lego man / woman that best represents you
....how about a Mario social [possibly extending to other nintendo characters]
...Maybe we should carry on the birthday outings too ... know anyone with a 6th of April birthday...hehe
